URBAN SAN FERNANDO
The City of San Fernando viewed from the San Fernando Hill
The image shows mostly the roof tops of the buildings in the city of San Fernando. The buildings have a densely packed structure. There is barely any room left for the establishment of any new buildings therefore instead the buildings are being extended outwards they are now being built upwards as a modern high-rise buildings for further development of the city
The city of San Fernando can be considered a modern city. According to Hall and Barrette a Mordern City is one where pre-industrial cities increased significantly in size an had their forms altered by redevelopment and the addition of new urban forms associated with new economic and socio-cultural impluses. This can be seen in San Fernando where the older buildings are being replaced by new structures and forms.
